Picky New Promotions are proud to present BLOODY/BATH's EP release show at The Castle Hotel in Manchester on Sun, Nov 1! Hailing from the bleak factory town of Northampton, bloody/bath embody their hometown?s grinding inertia on new single, 'I Saw the Devil.' The opening track from forthcoming EP Dust, the song begins sparse: hip-hop-indebted drums, rhythmic flourishes and spiky bursts of noise gather mass until it can hold no longer, the groove collapsing under its own weight into a lurching breakdown. Coiled and threatening, the track lashes out at the world before the rage, with nowhere else to go, turns inward. bloody/bath emerged in 2020 as a bedroom project by singer-songwriter Kailan Price before quickly evolving into a full five-piece band. What began as lo-fi indie experiments soon transformed into a darker, more menacing sound rooted firmly in post-punk. Drawing from bleak atmospheres, gothic textures and the restless pulse of modern post-punk, bloody/bath craft songs that balance stark vulnerability with intensity. Their music is built on waves of distorted guitars, driving basslines and pounding rhythms, with Price?s vocals cutting through the gloom with raw urgency. Since their formation, the band have steadily gained attention across the UK underground. Early singles such as Idle Hands / Sunder received airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music from DJs including Iggy Pop, Lauren Laverne and Steve Lamacq, who described the band?s sound as ?elegant and haunted.? bloody/bath released their debut EP 'All Love Unfelt' in 2023, marking a clear shift toward the band?s darker and more expansive sonic identity. The group followed this momentum with a string of singles and their debut album 'In An Empty Space I?m Screaming,' further cementing their reputation for bleak yet cathartic songwriting. Known for intense live performances and a growing cult following, bloody/bath have shared stages with acts such as bdrmm, Do Nothing, Deadletter and Ritual Howls while building a dedicated audience both online and on the UK live circuit. Rooted in Northampton?s independent music scene but reaching far beyond it, bloody/bath continue to explore themes of grief, isolation and existential unrest, shaping them into something visceral, haunting and unmistakably their own. ?I Saw the Devil? is the second single from the forthcoming 6 track EP ?Dust? which follows first single ?FAITH.?
